35 International theatre festival "Golden lion"

The Golden Lion International Theatre Festival is a prestigious cultural event in Ukraine that dates back to 1989. Over the years, the festival has become a platform for many new theatre directors, as well as well-known European and international artists, all of whom work in a style we call "classics through the prism of experimentation". Our main goal is to showcase theatrical performances by various Ukrainian and international theatres, especially those with outstanding reputations in their respective countries. It is clear that the festival promotes cultural exchange and dialogue. The Golden Lion Festival, which traditionally takes place in early October, remains steadfast even in these difficult times for Ukraine. We firmly believe in the importance of continuing this cultural festival to promote and develop Ukrainian art and culture. Now, more than ever, people are in dire need of cultural enrichment, and our festival is here to meet this need. This year, our festival is focused on strengthening our national identity, values and culture, expressed through the theme "Theatre is the language of identity".
