65. March Music Days International Festival
March Music Days International Festival, which has turned the town of Ruse into an attractive cultural destination for decades, is among the oldest classical music international festivals in Bulgaria. Being the largest Bulgarian town along the Danube River, Ruse will celebrate the 65th edition of the festival from March 13th to 29th, 2026. Spring arrives here with the fresh breeze of music.Located 60 km from the Romanian capital Bucharest, Ruse today is an important centre of music and culture, well-known as the Danubian capital of Bulgaria. It is often called „baroque fairytale“ by the poets for its gorgeous landmarks of architecture in the town centre.The Festival is a true pearl in the crown of this town, which is particularly attractive with its ancient history and legends. It is not at random that for 65 years, Ruse has welcomed hundreds of celebrated artists, ensembles, and orchestras from Europe and worldwide who take part in the March Music Days International Festival.The Festival programme in March 2026 offers the town residents and its guests 18 concerts featuring artists from 12 countries who will give presentations at several premier events and brilliant European musicians performing music that ranges from the old European classics to contemporary music and jazz.
