9th Winter Festival

Ljubljana Festival is entering the year 2026 with the 9th Winter Festival, which each year creates a unique musical atmosphere in the winter capital. Since the first concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from London, the Winter Festival has become a fixture in the international musical scene in Slovenia. Outstanding performances by renowned domestic and international artists take place at various venues across Ljubljana, enriching the city’s cultural life and attracting numerous classical music enthusiasts. In 2026, the Winter Festival continues its mission of connecting top-level art with a wider audience.

9th Winter Festival will also feature Ljubljana Festival International Competition – Piano 2026

The triennial competition is open to professional pianists of all nationalities born between 1995 and 2009. Its goal is to promote young, talented pianists among the world’s top musicians and to share outstanding classical music with the largest international audiences.
