"Albamono" International Monodrama Festival 22 Edition

For many years “ILIRIA” Cultural Association in collaboration with The Albanian Ministry of Culture, Municipality of Korça, Pogradec and Maliq and other sponsors succeeded in creating a new cultural institution with special values. For 21 years this institution called International Monodrama Festival “ ALBAMONO” has presented its editions with much success. Many professional troupes, from different countries of World, have participated in this event. The characteristics of this activity is that it takes place in the different cultural monuments: Chathedral of Korça, Church in Voskopoja, Maliq, and the city of Pogradec which is a nice city in south-east of Albania. This event is appreciated from the participants, the invited people from the inside and outside the country. It is also appreciated from media, as an activity of European parameters.The festival is not simply an international festival of Monodrama; it is a contemporary exploration of the theatrical possibilities. There is an extraordinary mixture of international theatre practitioners, figures from the Albanian cultural elite and local people. All this elements make this festival stimulating and productive.This event has opening so a precious view to all the Albanian artists, by being in contact with the contemporary world theater, also providing a direct help in the promotion of the cultural tourismThe 22 Edition of the International Monodrama Festival “ ALBAMONO” will take place from 23 - 30 of June , 2026 in the Korça and Pogradec City.The festival has made a direct contribution to the promotion of cultural tourism turning this international event an important cultural event - tourism for the region. This event is appreciated from the participants, the invited people from the inside and outside the country.
