ABOUT THE FESTIVAL - 6th EDITION from July 27 to August 9ALTREFRONTIERE International Dance Festival was born from the desire to give visibility to a concentration of different but compatible energies in the international context of dance, apparently distant but united by the constant research through body language.It is the idea of breaking down borders; being that the boundaries of the body and the mind, or those of a country or his culture.Body language communicates without words, it is a universal language that can bring everyone together, like music.This festival starts with the desire to share and exchange, with the aim of expanding the information about the many methods of investigation and to have an ever wider view of the creative panorama of dance.Variety is nothing but growth.Knowledge and exchange are precious tools for our inner growth. ☽During two weeks, the Festival offers a unique summer intensive with classes and workshops given by internationally renowned teachers.The Festival is in the middle of Maremma nature, hosted by the Agriturismo Podere Novo 153 (località Ripacci, Scansano, IT). ☽The sixth edition of ALTREFRONTIERE is dedicated to ‘setting things in motion’.In a year of great planetary changes, recovering from countless social and political upheavals, we feel guided by the will to produce action: to concretise the union between the spiritual and the material, to give space to all that is waiting to manifest itself, loosening all barriers and continuing to provide matter for creativity.This year's teachers will be Cruz Isael Mata, Rakesh Sukesh, Luciana Lusso Roveto, Yonel Castilla Serrano, Tijen Lawton and Marigia Maggipinto.Each week ends with a collective performance generated by the afternoon composition and improvisation workshops.For the second time will take place the ALTRE Open Platform, an open space for participants to show their own work. In addition, this year, for those who participate for the entire festival, during the weekend between the two weeks there will be a party evening open to the public in which participants will be invited to a site-specific performance exercise and to take part in a dance and music jam.
