Amplify Podcast Festival

AMPLIFY Podcast Festival is a public event dedicated to podcasting, live radio, digital storytelling and youth participation, organised by Orme Radio / Tracce Nascoste APS in Empoli, Tuscany.

The festival was created within AMPLIFY!  - Podcast & Video Tools for Stronger Youth Voices, an Erasmus+ project designed to strengthen the communication and media-production skills of youth workers and young people from across Europe. The project explores podcasting and digital media not only as creative formats, but as practical tools for participation, civic engagement and giving visibility to community voices.

The AMPLIFY Podcast Festival represents the public dimension of this experience: a space where international participants, young creators, local organisations and citizens can meet, exchange ideas and share the stories and media productions developed during the project. Its programme combines live radio broadcasting, original podcast presentations, music, informal networking and opportunities for interaction with the local community.

The aim is to create an accessible and participatory cultural event in which podcasting becomes a way to connect people, cultures and perspectives, while encouraging young people to express themselves and take an active role in their communities. The first edition takes place at Dopolavoro Ferroviario in Empoli, with Orme Radio broadcasting live from Piazza della Stazione, followed by podcast presentations, JamLab activities, an AperiCena and a DJ set. Participation is free and open to the public.

More broadly, AMPLIFY Podcast Festival aims to establish podcasting as a meeting point between media, education, culture and active citizenship, bringing European youth work into direct contact with the local community and creating new opportunities for young voices to be heard.
