Aurillac International Street Theatre Festival

Created in 1986 and deliberately located in a rural area, Aurillac International Street Theatre Festival has continued to establish itself as one of the main live performance events in France, and the most significant event dedicated to street arts on an international level, serving as a reference. It is also defined by its incredible attendance, with a unique generational and social diversity within the performing arts field.

During the festival, the city opens its streets, squares to street artists and around 140,000 spectators, showcasing a vibrant and internationally oriented program. In addition to the official lineup featuring about twenty companies, ÉCLAT is committed to facilitating the participation of any street artist wishing to perform in Aurillac. To achieve this, they oversee the organisation of the "Rendez-vous des compagnies de passage," a gathering of over 600 companies.

For the last 2 years, the Festival has focused on international creation : Switzerland in 2023 and Korea in 2024. This year, a new focus will be proposed... and announced at the beginning of 2025!
