Biennial Performative Arts Meeting – (Re)union

(Re)union emerged from the desire to reunite former peers in order to understand what currently moves them and to promote their work. However, it is not only a gathering of alumni. It represents a strong desire to establish autonomous and sustainable structures in the performing arts within an interdisciplinary context. The program of this Biennial Performative Arts Meeting is built with artistic proposals received through an open call. (Exceptionally in 2022, no open call was announced to sue to lack of substantial financial support)
The participating artists present their most recent works, open their work processes to the public, and shared their research practices through workshops and interventions at the public space of the city of Lisbon.

A series of talks around the themes of collective practices, alternative support structures, the balance between artistic creation and production labour, decentralization, and community engagement, among others with artist-run initiatives functioning locally and internationally aims to open a space for exchange and reflection through the perspective and experiences of invited artists.
