a special edition dedicated to the body and the relationship with technology

The world-famous Israeli choreographer Sharon Fridman, the most influential dancer and choreographer of the Italian contemporary scene Enzo Cosimi, the director Virgilio Villoresi and the Polish visual artist Ari Dykier are some of the most anticipated protagonists of the 8 ^ edition of Cinematica Festival, from 6 to 8 August at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona, which despite the latest restrictions for the containment of the Covid-19 pandemic wanted to be there with an even stronger program.
The second part of the Festival is entitled Cinematics Live and Digital Experience and will be dedicated to the exploration of the works of artists who reflect on the relationship between live and digital performing.
Since the beginning of February, during the second lockdown of this pandemic, careful online programming has accompanied the public, entering the imagination of artists such as Francesca Fini, Paolo Bragaglia, Pietro Cardarelli, Simona Lisi and Nicoletta Cabassi. We then approach the live viewing of shows and installations that involve the public with highly engaging performances, either by physical impact or by technological invention.
"After a year and more of a pandemic, there are now many experiences of performative rewriting linked to virtual fruition - said the artistic director, Simona Lisi -, through the call for artists we have chosen a set of very interesting proposals that together with other selected artists for their strength and vision, they represent a unique opportunity to view a range of emblematic works of the contemporary art scene in these three days. We wanted to force our hand on corporeality, in this period where the body is endangered by distancing and the fear of contagion, presenting artists who put the body in its strongest and even hidden facets at the center of their research, on the one hand. the skin, the touch, on the other hand the thrust, the scandal, the strength of the embrace ».
