"Crossroads" Contemporary Music Days in Armenia

The mission of the "Quarter Tone" Cultural NGO is the development and popularization of contemporary classical music in Armenia. To this end, for 9 consecutive years, the NGO has consistently organized the only international contemporary classical music festival of its kind in Armenia. Within the framework of the festival, a number of new works have been commissioned and performed with the highest level of professionalism, premiering right here in Armenia. 

Prominent figures of contemporary classical music have visited the country; some of them, having Armenian roots, traveled to Armenia for the very first time thanks to this festival, arriving as established professionals whose music is actively performed and appreciated. Through this festival, our cultural landscape has gained significant visibility within the international community, positioning Armenia on the global stage as an active and prolific center for classical music. A testament to this is the fact that in 2025, "Quarter Tone" became the first institution in Armenia to receive a grant from the world's most prestigious "Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung," marking a highly significant milestone for both our organisation and the country. We earned this same honor again in 2026 when the foundation once again approved a key component of our 2026 festival programme: the international youth campus.
