Derida Dance Fest

"Derida Dance Fest" skillfully builds on and further develops the three successful editions of our previous annual festival "Aerowaves in Sofia", promising to enrich the cultural life of Sofi and to consolidate its position as an important center for contemporary dance in the region and a place for cultural dialogue and exchange of ideas, through the presentation of eight foreign productions.

This year Derida Dance Fest will offer the Bulgarian audience three main modules:- Aerowaves In Sofia - will continue the tradition of presenting promising European talents in contemporary dance, selected in the TOP 20 of the prestigious European dance platform Aerowaves.- Balkan module - will offer a special selection from the region, highlighting the cultural diversity of the Balkans.- Derida module – curated by the creators of the first contemporary dance center in Bulgaria - Atanas Maev, executive director and Jivko Jeliazkov, art director, which will present interesting contemporary dance performances, carefully selected from various large and established platforms such as MASDANZA, Dance Festival Malta, Dansa Valencia, etc.
