In March 2027, “DIGITHALIA – Festival for Virtual Theater Forms Graz” returns for its fourth edition to explore innovative theatrical and digital forms of storytelling. The festival seeks ways to remain human amid the frenzy of false images and optimized processes, and discovers spaces where stories on stage are expanded and reimagined through technical means. The fourth edition features performances, multimedia works, and theater evenings that question, renegotiate, and reshape apparent “realities.” What is real? What does authentic mean? And how can we prove truths in a world full of synthetic stories? Amid political and technological challenges, F. Wiesel brings together regional and international guest performances as well as productions by Schauspielhaus Graz, offering perspectives and possibilities for a potentially better tomorrow. How shall we continue to tell our shared story? The Schauspielhaus Graz becomes a meeting place for all who wish to discover what theater seeks in the digital realm and what the digital realm thinks of theater.
