Dubbing Glamour Festival 8th Edition

Already supported by the MIC Ministry of Culture - Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual, the Liguria Region, and the Municipality of Genoa, the Dubbing Glamour Film Festival opens Call 2026 with a first: for the first time, the festival is combining the established competition for actors and authors with an international competition for filmmakers.

Each culture carries within itself a founding imaginary — myths, archetypes, figures that cross generations and borders. Cinema is where this imagination lives, transforms, and speaks in many languages at once.The Dubbing Glamour Film Festival takes its name in Portofino, after 7 editions since 2012, on the Ligurian coast, where the Mediterranean begins its long journey to other seas, other civilizations, other stories. From the Pillars of Hercules to India and beyond: this is the geographical and cultural horizon of our festival. How archetypes leave the screen and enter reality with the transition from myth to collective behavior — for a festival on the political function of the imaginary. In 2026, in collaboration with Disney, the DGFF inaugurates its first international competition dedicated to directors — with particular attention to emerging voices: directors under 35, their first or second feature film or short film, and Italian directors over 35.The project invests in the audiovisual sectors —cinema, TV series, dubbing, audiobooks, script adaptation and screenplay— with a large program of screenings, masterclasses, round tables and speed dates with productions.
