FARM Festival
FARM Festival is an independent multidisciplinary festival based in Putignano, in the rural area of Apulia, Southern Italy.Founded with the aim of creating a high-quality contemporary cultural programme in a peripheral territory, FARM has developed over the years into a platform dedicated to music, performing arts and hybrid artistic practices, with a strong attention to emerging artists and international projects. The festival works at the intersection of artistic creation, local communities and rural contexts, exploring how contemporary culture can generate new forms of participation, audience development and cultural sustainability outside major urban centres.Alongside its main programme, FARM curates FARM Secret, a special format in which the identity of the performing artists is not announced in advance and is revealed only when they step on stage. This format is conceived as a space for discovery, trust and openness, encouraging audiences to engage with unknown artists and new artistic languages beyond reputation and genre labels.FARM collaborates regularly with international showcase festivals, cultural organisations and networks, and is actively involved in scouting, supporting and presenting emerging artists from different countries. Particular attention is given to long-term artistic development, artistic mobility and the creation of international partnerships. The festival is organised by Consorzio IMAKE, a cultural consortium of associations based in Apulia and registered as a cultural enterprise. Through its activities, FARM aims to strengthen cultural infrastructures in peripheral areas and to contribute to a more balanced and inclusive European cultural ecosystem.
