Circada is one of the most prominent contemporary circus festivals in Spain and the longest-running one in Andalusia, a region in the south of the country. It has been held in Seville since 2008, featuring a program 100% dedicated to contemporary circus, yet highly eclectic in styles, techniques, and approaches to the art form. The festival has two main sections: Panorama, a professional meeting and showcase focused mainly on emerging companies and artists, and the Official Section, which presents a selection of national and international shows. In addition, there are “extensions” held in various towns across the province of Seville.
