3^ edition Festival del folklore siciliano scolastico 2026

The first edition of the Sicilian School Folklore Festival, organised by the Pizzigoni Carducci Comprehensive School in Catania. The event, strongly supported by the headmaster Prof. Rizza, was inspired by participation in competitions on Sicilian culture promoted by the Umberto I Scientific High School in Palermo and the Sicilian Region.

The Festival ended with a show directed by artistic director Maestro Donato Ciulla, international director of the Pizzifolk group from Catania. This folk group, formed less than a year ago and composed of students and teachers from the institute, won over the audience with its performances. Thanks to his guidance, Pizzifolk has quickly become an internationally renowned phenomenon, invited to perform at prestigious events in Bulgaria, Mexico and the famous Almond Blossom Festival. The group continues to grow and receive acclaim wherever it performs, bringing with it the heart and soul of Sicilian tradition.
