The next edition – scheduled from June 8 to July 28, 2026 – will consist of 27 keynote lectures and will continue the project of the Philosophical Walks, La maieutica delle cose, composed of three meetings that will take place in various locations across the provinces of Brescia and Bergamo.

Alongside the municipalities and/or institutions that have already hosted previous editions — Adrara San Martino (Bg), Berlingo (Bs), Caravaggio (Bg), Castegnato (Bs), Coccaglio (Bs), Corzano (Bs), Dello (Bs), Gardone Val Trompia (Bs), Leno (Bs), Lograto (Bs), Orzinuovi (Bs), Orzivecchi (Bs), Ostiano (Cr), Roncadelle, Sarnico (Bg), Seniga (Bs), Tavernole sul Mella (Bs), Verolavecchia (Bs), and Villachiara (Bs) — the municipalities of Verolanuova (Bs), Castelli Calepio (Bg), and Manerbio (Bs) will also join this year’s edition.

As usual, the speakers who will illuminate the upcoming edition with their insightful reflections will be figures of great intellectual stature, with a significant female presence. The following speakers have confirmed their participation (in alphabetical order): Andrea Tagliapietra, Danielle Cohen-Levinas, David Le Breton, Duccio Demetrio, Enrica Lisciani Petrini, Enzo Bianchi, Francesca Rigotti, Francesco Miano, Franco Arminio, Father Guidalberto Bormolini, Isabella Guanzini, Marco Bartoli, Marco Vannini, Massimo Cacciari, Massimo Recalcati, Maurizio Bettini, Massimiliano Valerii, Michela Marzano, Miguel Benasayag, Pietro Del Soldà, Roberta Bruzzone, Salvatore Natoli, Sergio Della Sala, Stefano Mancuso, Stefano Zamagni, Umberto Curi, Umberto Galimberti, Mons. Vincenzo Paglia, and Anna Maria Giannini.

During the Festival, the award ceremony for the thirteenth edition of the “International Philosophy Prize – Filosofi lungo l’Oglio. A Book for the Present” will also take place. The prize will be awarded to Danielle Cohen-Levinas—philosopher and professor of contemporary philosophy and aesthetics at the Sorbonne in Paris—for editing the fourth volume of Œuvres complètes: Dossier totalité et infini – Textes et documents inédits (IMEC/Grasset, Paris 2024), part of the project collecting the unpublished works of Emmanuel Levinas.

Among the highlight events stands out the successful performance by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, who will present a recital entitled Being Leonardo da Vinci: An Impossible Interview, combining music, philosophy, and literature. Performed in costume, the show will consist of an imagined conversation between a journalist and the great master, who—during the final years of his life—reflects on the meaning of existence and the value of art.

The partnership with the Santa Giulia Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia will also continue, with the aim of bringing together the love of philosophy and artistic passion through a creative contest. The call for entries is designed to stimulate the creativity of young artists and to reward the work that best interprets the Festival’s theme. The competition is open to students currently enrolled at the Santa Giulia Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia, as well as to graduates and faculty members. The selection of young artists is entrusted to a jury—composed of members appointed jointly by the two institutions—which first selects five finalist works, then ranks them, and finally declares the winner of the Prize, endowed with €1,000, offered by the Filosofi lungo l’Oglio Foundation.
