For the past eight years, our festivals have been held in the very birthplace of Epirus polyphonic singing in Greece, with the central mission of safeguarding and celebrating this unique vocal tradition.Over the course of their existence, the festivals have welcomed exclusively polyphonic ensembles from Greece, dedicated to rendering Epirus polyphonic singing in its most authentic form. Each year, groups representing both the Greek-speaking and Albanian-speaking polyphonic traditions have taken part, enriching the celebration with their voices.Looking ahead, we aspire to broaden this circle of participation, embracing vocal traditions from across the Balkans, Europe, and the wider world, in a spirit of cultural dialogue and shared heritage.
