Finding a Voice is a festival of music by women composers through the ages and around the world, in celebration of International Women’s Day – 8th March. Located in the beautiful Irish town of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Finding a Voice features performances from leading Irish and international musicians of music across eras and genres.Founded in 2017 by sisters Róisín and Clíona Maher, over the past eight years the festival has featured music by hundreds of women composers, from the twelfth-century nun Hildegard of Bingen to newly commissioned works by Irish composers.
