Helium. 21st edition

The first International Contemporary Circus Festival in Lithuania HELIUM not only presents the latest works of the most famous foreign contemporary circus troupes and performers, but also actively supports circus creators in the Baltic States. The diverse international circus programs of the festival is complemented by works or sketches by circus creators from the Baltic States, providing space and opportunities for young creators.Organized since 2005, the festival has introduced the country's audience to the contemporary circus genre, presenting the Lithuanian audience with a wide range of international repertoire of high-quality contemporary circus performances. The festival started as the "New Circus Weekend", but over time it has grown into a much larger event than one weekend can cover, so in 2021 it acquired a new name - the International Contemporary Circus Festival HELIUM.The festival also organizes educational workshops and seminars, in which not only professional contemporary circus creators, but also all people interested in this genre are invited to participate. In 2025, HELIUM became a biennial. The project “HELIUM presents” between festivals aims to maintain constant contact with contemporary circus professionals and amateurs, so the Arts Printing House presents international contemporary circus performances all year round.

In 2025 International Contemporary Circus Festival HELIUM invites to explore time - its acceleration, deceleration and moments when it seems that time stands still... 🕔
