I Cento Passi 2025

28 Oct 2025 - 22 Nov 2025
L'Aquila, Italy

At the heart of the 2025 edition lies the three-year project “Futuri Possibili” (Possible Futures) 2025–2027, supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, which places dance at the center as a tool for cultural growth and social cohesion — a universal language capable of transcending cultural, generational, and social barriers. The project’s main focus is Audience Development, achieved by broadening participation and bringing the Festival to diverse venues in order to reach different kinds of audiences, foster awareness, promote youth creativity, encourage social inclusion, and strengthen the bond between art and community. These objectives take shape through concrete actions such as inclusive residencies for children, teenagers, university students, dance school pupils, and professional dancers, in collaboration with schools, educational institutions, the University of L’Aquila, and the Regional Agency for the Right to Education (ADSU); projects with and for artists with disabilities; and intergenerational workshops. The festival also explores intersections between dance, theatre, live music, and new technologies, while presenting performances and activities in some of the most beautiful villages of inland Abruzzo and in unconventional settings — fostering a more widespread and accessible experience of the arts.By doing so, the festival responds to one of the key contemporary challenges for cultural events: to be not only artistic showcases, but also social actors, spaces of exchange and collective experience, and creative engines of knowledge, beauty, and civic growth, where new “Possible Futures” can be imagined together.
