InCastro Festival 2027 - 3rd ed. Insistere

InCastro Festival 2027 | OPERE GENTILI – INSISTERE

InCastro Festival, a contemporary dance festival supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture and organised by Vento di Scirocco ETS, presents the third chapter of its three-year artistic journey, Opere Gentili (Gentle Works), dedicated to the theme INSISTERE – TO PERSIST. Following Esistere (To Exist) and Resistere (To Resist), Insistere becomes an invitation to persevere, to continue generating beauty, connections and opportunities for transformation through art. To persist means choosing to remain present, nurturing what risks disappearing, sustaining gestures of care and imagining new ways of living together. Founded in 2019 in Castroreale, Sicily, InCastro Festival creates a dialogue between contemporary dance, music, landscape and architecture, with a particular focus on site-specific creation, interdisciplinary experimentation and the unique identity of each place. The 2027 edition will continue this exploration through performances, artistic residencies, workshops and participatory practices, fostering encounters between national and international artists, local communities and audiences. Historic villages, natural environments and architectural heritage sites will become spaces for artistic creation and exchange, where movement and interdisciplinary research can open up new ways of perceiving, experiencing and engaging with places. INSISTERE means continuing to sow seeds, even when their results are not immediately visible. It means recognising artistic practice as an essential act, capable of leaving traces, encouraging critical thinking and creating new possibilities for connection.
