Jyväskylä Festival 70

02 Jul 2025 - 08 Jul 2025
Jyväskylä, Finland

Jyväskylän Kesä is the oldest continuously organized city festival in the Nordic countries. Founded in 1955, the event quickly became one of the most significant summer festivals in Europe. Over the years, Jyväskylä has hosted some of the world’s leading composers, architects, musicians, filmmakers, philosophers, researchers, dancers, and theater makers. Since its inception, the festival has been centered around high-quality artistic content, showcasing new works and creators, addressing societal themes, and engaging audiences through a participatory approach.

The next Jyväskylä Festival will be held 2.–8.7.2025. This year, at its 70th anniversary, the annually changing theme of the festival is 'sivistys' (Bildung).
