LEM 2026 (OCTOBER) - XXXI International Experimental Music Meeting

It’s a very special year at Gràcia Territori Sonor: in 2025, LEM celebrated its 30th edition, and now GTS itself turns thirty. This has made us recipients of some awards for which we’re very grateful, such as Premi Enderrock and Premi Altaveu. Moreover, on November 13th, we’ll open an exhibition at La Virreina Centre de la Imatge reviewing these three decades of activity.

So, it is proving to be a frenetic 2026, all the more so if we add the anniversary concerts we’ve held so far, as both Macromassa and Oriol Tramvia’s ‘Bèstia!’ have reached half a century. But this didn’t make us forget we still had half LEM ahead of us, and that’s why we will have about fifteen events from 21 to 31 October to close a festival that began in May. Many of these events, moreover, come thanks to collaborations established with local and international organisations, which allow us to broaden our horizons: series such as Difraccions and festivals such as Contemporaneus, Signal Reload, Intermediale, Mixtur and Catalonia’s Hurdy-Gurdy Festival have helped us make the best possible LEM.

As always, we won’t limit ourselves to concerts; we’ll also have a workshop, the opening of an installation and the presentation of the results of GTS’s two creation laboratories, as well as a special Encontre en l’Espai-Temps. As for the protagonists, there is everything: young artists; Malísima, Corprès, Nicola Vacca…; artists with long careers; Pepino Pascual, Pierre Bastien, Blood Quartet…; great local talents such as Eli Gras and Anna Pantinat; foreign projects such as Cromorne, La Copule and Inire; Sajjra’s Andean-inspired sounds; Morphosis Duo’s contemporary music; Whifi’s improvisation on popular music; Merche Blasco’s sound contraptions; Nara is Neus’ electronics…

LEM 2026 will end with two weeks as intense as they are eclectic. We look forward to seeing you there!
