MU.3 - 2026
MU. is an intensive contemporary dance festival with a particular focus on floorwork, partnering and improvisation techniques.The work combines technique, research and composition and is designed for a limited number of participants in order to guarantee high quality and individual attention.It lasts 5 days for a total of 30 hours of lessons.
In addition to the resident teachers(Irene Valesano, Jean Loup Gayrard e Nico Sanchez), each edition hosts a teacher of recognised international standing. For the 2026 edition, the third edition of the festival, the Guest Teacher is Laja Field, an international dance-theatre creator, educator and performer who works in the US, Canada, Central America and Europe.
MU. Festival will include several events open to the public, designed to encourage interaction between communities, artists and the local area: open-door lessons, a travelling performance that crosses the town, transforming the urban context into a diffuse stage, a jam session with live music open to dancers, performers and non-professional audiences, a moment of encounter between music, dance and nature with DJs
MU. opens up a space where we can move together, express ourselves freely and feel part of a community. A welcoming, inclusive and non-judgmental environment, where “we” means openness and mutual care, not boundaries. A place where you can feel at home, get involved, push your limits, share meaningful experiences and have fun.Respect, inclusion, equality and collaboration are the founding values of the project. There is no place for any form of hatred, racism, anti-Semitism, discrimination or prejudice within Mu.
MU. aims to create a meeting point and a bridge between artists from different countries, offering a space where dance becomes a tool for intercultural relations and exchange. The festival aims to be a fertile ground for the launch of new collaborations and future projects.
