Nová komedie International Theatre Festival

The Nová komedie Festival has been held since 2019 and is organized by the Prague City Theaters. The festival focuses on presenting the work of young artists, showcasing progressive and innovative theater and interdisciplinary projects. The main part of the festival consists of presentations of productions by artists under 35 from professional theaters outside Prague. The program is complemented by a selection of the most interesting contemporary young European theater. The festival includes discussions with artists, masterclasses, and workshops. Since its inception, the festival has presented Czech, Slovak, Polish, Slovenian, Hungarian, Romanian, and German theater.
