Nowruz As Now!

Nowruz as now! is a multiple day cultural voyage happening at the threshold of spring when the Persian calendar marks the end of one year and the beginning of another. Across the world, Iranians, Afghans, Tajiks, Uzbeks, and many others gather to honor the precise moment of the equinox - when the Earth turns once more toward the sun and renewal. Light returns, buds awaken, and nature remembers how to grow, carrying with it hope, vitality, and blessing. The inspiration came from the Persian rituals and it grew to an open invitation for everyone to re-imagine the concept of transforming, togetherness, celebration, care and share through film screenings, performances, concerts, and jam sessions. Over the course of 4 days together with the artist in the residency and the local public of burgundy we experienced a new, more human, more creative way of togetherness where we shared food and culture crossing borders and languages to weave a shared expression of creation, togetherness, and care. Following the success of the event, we decided to co-organize the event on an annual basis together with DomaineForay. The festival will happen every year from the last Tuesday of winter until the beginning of spring. The upcoming festival will be between 16th to the 20th of March 2027.
