On Bodies Dance and Performance Festival

The On Bodies Festival happens annually in May with performances at the main stage of our venue (Bodies on Stage) as well as in the garden of Dance House and public spaces of Nicosia (Bodies in the Garden). Since its beginning as NO_ BODY in 2008 by Dance Gate Lefkosia, Cyprus, we had the honour to collaborate and showcase the work of more than 120 international and local artists while also providing a platform for emerging artists to present their first choreographic endeavours.Artist selection for the festival occurs through an open call or by invitation from the artistic director. Each year, the main program is complemented by a series of parallel events, such as workshops, performative discussions, and conferences, all designed to enrich the festival’s main theme and trajectory.
