Plautus Festival is an annual theatre festival taking place during the summer (mid July-mid August).
The festival, whose first edition dates back to 1956, aims to honour the great Latin playwright Tito Maccio Plauto and the theatre as ancient and noble art.
Every year 12/15 pieces of prose, mostly coming from Classical Drama and Theatre, are put on in the evocative scenery of Arena Plautina
