Pro Futuro Artis

Pro Futuro Artis is a nationwide concert and educational project dedicated to promoting the classical guitar and Slovak performers across generations. Organized by the civic association La guitarra clásica, it represents one of the most significant initiatives in the field of classical music in Slovakia during 2025.The festival’s concept, titled “Classical Guitar on the Road Across Slovakia,” brings a series of exceptional concerts to audiences in several Slovak cities — including Bratislava, Hlohovec, Zvolen, Markušovce, Levoča, and Košice. Its goal is to highlight the guitar as a universal concert instrument capable of rich expression, versatility, and dialogue with various musical forms.The artistic lineup includes some of the most distinguished Slovak musicians together with rising stars of the young generation. Among the featured artists are soprano Eva Šušková, the Bratislava Guitar Quartet, the Moyzes String Quartet, the duo Viento Marero, guitarist Karol Samuelčík, and young laureates Augustín Mušuta, Filip Babić, Karolína Kantorová, and Miroslava Šadláková. This diverse selection reflects the festival’s aim to connect experience with innovation and to create a dynamic artistic dialogue across generations.Each concert is presented in a culturally significant venue and offers audiences an inspiring encounter with top-level interpretation. The programme combines solo and chamber performances, spanning music from the Baroque and Romantic periods to contemporary Slovak and international works, including several premieres.Beyond the concert series, Pro Futuro Artis also serves an educational and developmental mission. It offers lectures and workshops for students of conservatories and art schools, fosters collaboration between young interpreters and established artists, and supports research and artistic documentation through professional audio and video recordings. Selected performances will be recorded and later released on social medias, helping to preserve and promote Slovak musical creativity.Through its artistic quality, regional diversity, and commitment to education, Pro Futuro Artis contributes to decentralizing cultural life in Slovakia, making high-quality classical music accessible to wider audiences. The festival strengthens the presence of the guitar within the broader landscape of Slovak classical music and builds bridges between tradition, innovation, and the future of artistic creation.
