SAAL Biennaal 2026 - residency edition

SAAL Biennaal is a performing arts festival taking place in Tallinn, Estonia. For the last 3 editions it has been curated collectively by a 9-11 member working group. Staring 2024 we are hosting also residency editions, where different Nordic-Baltic artists have a chance to develop work in Tallinn, get to know the local scene and meet Estonian colleagues. This has come to spotlight in the times after pandemic, International work on a more local level has become one of Kanuti Gildi SAALs overarching goals. IN 2024 we hosted Finnish and Latvian artist Laura Puska and Katrina Duka toghether with Estonian due Keithy Kuuspu and Liisa Saaremäel in the August-Spetmeber period, this year we are hosing a Finnish working group in August for a stage residency, a Nordic-Baltic resident duo in a studio in September and Estonian director Siim Tõniste again on a stage residency.
