The Ingmar Bergman International Theatre Festival is a contemporary festival that was established by The Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) in 2009. The aim for the festival is to bring international productions to Scandinavia to strengthen the international collaboration and exchange.The core of the festival is Ingmar Bergman’s extensive oeuvre as a writer and as a theatre/film director, although the festival will also include performances and programs with no direct connection to his works.
