Trayectos International Contemporary Dance Festival in urban landscapes 2026

Trayectos puts contemporary dance in contact with the city. The programming spaces are chosen so that the pieces have an individual perspective. The aim is for dance and architecture to take on a special meaning when presented together. We try to bring dance closer to the citizens. Another objective is to contribute towards the development of contemporary dance, and towards social cohesion through art. To this end, we organise Training, Cooperation and Community Dance Programmes.

As a festival, we collaborate with local inclusion entities and organizations to ensure access regardless of people’s living conditions. We work to make dance a means of improving people’s health and promoting greater social participation. In addition, it actively collaborates with the Municipal Professional Dance Conservatory of the city to carry out initiatives that broaden students’ experience in different areas such as creation, research, and dissemination. These initiatives are integrated into the training plan developed by the Conservatory’s teaching staff.

Aware of its responsibility to and for the environment, it voluntarily calculates the carbon footprint of its activities as a step toward an active and coherent policy regarding climate change and environmental protection.

Trayectos is also part of the Network of Dance Festivals in Non-Conventional Spaces Acieloabierto, where it participates in the Ventana Internacional and Itinerarios Formativos programs.
