VALLETTA BAROQUE FESTIVAL
The success of the festival relies on four pillars: 1) Malta and its baroque architecture and ambience 2) the increasing number of overseas artists vying to perform here and the increasing number of overseas visitors that sustain the festival 3) the increasing number of homegrown musicians willing to perform in the baroque style and on baroque instruments plus the commensurate interest from local audiences 4) the variability of genres makes the festival varied and gives it wide appeal. For Malta all four aspects are of paramount importance. We are showcasing the most beautiful and interesting aspects of our heritage in the best possible way and because of the introduction of Hebrew’s like jazz, pop and rock into baroque have opened up new and innovative avenues making the festival a byword for excellence.
