Volta International Festival

Producer Andrea Ferran curates UNSETTLED, a Festival of live performance exploring experiences of migration, precarity and social instability. Weaving together personal stories and testimonies collected through workshops and interviews in six countries, this edition of Volta Festival will explore narratives of movement, migration, transformation and metamorphosis. Projects will look at experiences of precarity including lack of affordable housing, financial uncertainty, food scarcity, unstable working conditions and migration. As a whole, the Festival will examine liminality and transience, by looking at how individuals, families and communities in different locations are shaped by unpredictability and inconsistency.
