Voyages 2026
In 2026, the Festivals de Wallonie invite audiences on a great musical journey across territories, eras and imagined worlds. From June to October, the season unfolds throughout the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, from Brussels to Charleroi, via Namur, Liège, Mons, Saint-Hubert and Stavelot, as well as numerous venues in both urban and rural settings. Once again, the Festivals affirm their commitment to making music accessible to all, bringing it as close as possible to diverse audiences. Placed under the theme of “Journey”, this edition offers a rich and varied itinerary. Musical stopovers lead in particular to the United Kingdom through works by Vaughan Williams, Britten and Butterworth, as well as to the great European capitals—Rome, Venice, Vienna or Lisbon—through the Baroque and Classical repertoire. Other programmes open up more unexpected horizons, combining reimagined folk traditions, dialogues between East and West, and distinctive artistic explorations. Associated artists for the 2026 season, tenors Pierre Derhet and Maxime Melnik fully embody this spirit of discovery. Through the diversity of their projects, ranging from early 20th-century cabaret to the songs of John Dowland, they accompany the season as true guides between styles, cultures and eras. Through this new edition, the Festivals de Wallonie reaffirm their mission: to make music a space for encounter, transmission and curiosity, and to invite everyone to experience music that is vibrant, open and deeply human.
