WORLD DANCE MOVEMENT FESTIVAL

The World Dance Movement International Festival is a prestigious summer event of extraordinary quality in terms of artistic entertainment, multiculturalism and value of the performances. It has always been, since July 2009 to nowadays, an astonishing event of great interest.

The WDM offers dance enthusiasts the opportunity to grow their own experiential baggage by attending the master classes whose high level of training is ensured by the partnership with the prestigious Broadway Dance Center in New York and thanks to world-famous choreographers who boast artistic collaborations in the planetary Show Business.

During the WDM the city of Castellana turns into an open-air stage animated in every edition by many foreigners from all over the world: United States, Canada, Russia, Japan, Eastern Europe, Scandinavian Peninsula, South Africa and more, offering to the City of Caves an international wide visibility.

The workshop is divided into three weeks. At the end of each of them the students perform in a high-level dance show, along with their teachers. The most celebrated among the teachers is Desmond Richardson, co-founder and artistic director of the Complexions Contemporary Ballet, defined from The New York Times one of the greatest modern dancers.

In July, Castellana Grotte becomes leader in the international dance scene, combining different cultures, exchanging emotions, giving to the many tourists of the City the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and the positive energy emanated from the performances of so many young talents.
