14th FolCalFest | a Song & a Story

07 Feb 2026
Cholargos, Greece

The festival is organized by Research Centre for Greek Singing [ERKET] and will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at “Mikis Theodorakis” Amphitheater at Papagou-Cholargou Town Hall. The 14th FolCalFest has as its theme narrative songs with the participation of 13 vocal ensembles from all over Greece.

Centred around the theme "A Song & A Story," this year’s festival presents journeys through singing history and myth-making—narratives of communities and collectives that shape our country’s cultural map and give voice to our collective memory. This is not merely a retrospective of the past, but a vibrant experience of communication, recreation, and celebration. Narrative songs remain contemporary tools of expression, proving that human stories know no borders. We invite you to listen, to feel, and to share stories of what we lived yesterday, what we experience today, and what we shall pass on to tomorrow.
