9th International Dance and Performing Arts Festival in Syros

9th Akropoditi DanceFest 2022
July, 09-22 2022

The international Dance & Performing Arts Festival “Akropoditi DanceFest” has been established since July 2013 by the Akropoditi Dance and Performing Arts Centre. The Festival takes place every summer in Syros; it lasts two weeks and includes:

– Five-day, three-day and two-day training workshops and presentations

– Dance, Music, Theatre performances

– Open Jams

– Video projections and parallel actions throughout the island of Syros

The Festival hosts artists from Greece and abroad, combining theoretical and practical workshops with diverse content. Depending on their content, the workshops are addressed to amateur or dance and theatre professionals and participants can choose from a combination of weekly workshops, as well as two-day workshops on weekends.

The workshops and performances of this year's Festival will be hosted indoors and outdoors as well, in the public and in nature, giving us the opportunity to get in touch and benefit from different parts of the island and at the same time offer a safe, cool, summer environment.

We look forward to your participation in our next Festival!

Let’s walk together along the way and leave your own trace on our island.

This year we offer for free:

- Creative Dance & Singing workshop for people 65+

- Creative Dance workshop for disabled and non-disabled people

- Movement workshop for kids
