ArtWalk 9

ArtWalk is the only Street Art Festival of international scope in Greece and one of the largest in Europe, supported by civil society with measurable results.

In an unprecedented way for the city, ArtWalk actively mobilises citizens, creating a sense of uplift in the local community, the rest of Greece and the international art community, as well as hope and optimism for the future image of the city.

- The festival encompasses the creation of up to 10 large murals within the urban fabric of the city.

- Each guest artist during their residency will transfer their knowledge through educational programmes to teenagers, young people and socially vulnerable groups.

- There will be parallel activities in a central part of the city with info kiosk, street music, street dance, street theatre, street puppetry and street food.

- A modern digital interactive tourist guide will be created to guide visitors through the city's murals.

- At the end of the event, a traditional tour will take place to see the city's unique creations with the participation of artists, invited citizens, art journalists, children, parents and even passers-by, discussing together the possibilities for the development of public space.
