ChopinPianoFEST Prishtina 2020

ChopinPianoFEST Prishtina is organized each time in April. It was established in the 200th anniversry of Chopin Birthday, and it is organized since 11 years now in Kosovo capital, Prishtina.

It welcomes high level performing pianists from worldwide, who perform in front of very enthusiastic audience in Prishtina , in an improvised concert hall, since Prishtina and Kosovo are striving to build a proper concert hall. Festival aims to lobby to the institutions for finally having a proper concert hall.

Beside international artists, our local artists get a chance to perform, students get a chance to work in masterclasses with all the international guests, and young talents get a stage to perform their talent.

Festival also encourages exchange of artists and their cooperation in joint performances as well as promotion of Kosovar composed music for piano as part of the Chopin PianoFEST composing competition. Another competition, offers a special prize to one of the Kosovo young talents to perform and have fully paid study period of two weeks in one of German cities related to composers, offered by a music fan, German citizen. Piano recitals, chamber music and finally concerts for piano and orchestra are the formats of the festival.

ChopinPianoFEST was scheduled in April from 8-29 2020 but due to the situation with COVID19, we had to postpone it for November 2020.
