Den poezie is a 2-week festival around the birth of Czech Romantic poet K. H. Mácha. It is a combination of a more traditional festival, with readings and performances of leading Czech and international poets, and a grassroots/educational festival celebrated in schools and libraries. It takes place throughout the country in around 50 towns and its motivation is openness to poetry in all forms.
