EDO 2025 - Olomouc Environmental Days
Olomouc Environmental Days (EDO) is the largest environmental festival in the Czech Republic. It has been organised since 1990 by Sluňákov - Centre for Ecological Activities of the City of Olomouc. The EDO programme does not lean towards any political or ideological direction. It is based on the belief that the diversity of human approaches to the world leads to a varied landscape and in turn to a rich world of experiences in the human heart. EDO's intent and goal is to provide the general public with the latest, transparent and verified information in environmental, social and economic fields, to facilitate people's understanding of the complex problems of the contemporary world and to encourage them to participate in their solution. Traditional EDO events include discussions and lectures, guided walks, excursions and field trips, exhibitions, art performances, seminars, workshops and community open days for families. Participants receive a lot of important information about the state of the environment in Olomouc, the Czech Republic and globally.
The 2025 festival topic is: POWER and POWERLESSNESS in nature, society, landscape. BIO/DIVERSITY of approaches to the world, nature, landscape, and society. It focuses on exploring diverse perspectives and approaches to the environment, nature, landscape, and society. It includes public discussions, eco fair, workshops, art installations, performances, and exhibits that showcase various viewpoints, traditions, and practices related to relationship between human and nature.
