EstOvest Festival 2022 - XXI edition

EstOvest Festival reaches its twenty-first edition in 2022.

The program of the event intends to represent an idea of making music, even before looking at the more strictly artistic contents. The presence of very talented young guest artists joins an important number of renowned professionals, in a single program. Each project is designed so that other collaborations between them are enriching and productive on an individual level and, at the same time, give musical results that the public can enjoy.

The genesis of each project is closely related to the site where it will take place, with the interpreters who will take part in it and with the themes chosen. Nothing is decided without taking into account each of these elements. As in architecture, the genius loci of a place influences the choices with which we are going to build the musical program.

As in past editions, EstOvest Festival will be itinerant and will touch very different places in Piedmont. The cultural, landscape and architectural heritage frequented by the event is of great value and includes, among others, sites included in the Unesco lists. EstOvest Festival will be at the Mole Antonelliana-Museum of Cinema and at the Aula Magna of the Polytechnic in Turin, at the Reggia di Venaria Reale and at Palazzo Penotti Ubertini on Lake Orta. It will climb up to Borgata Paraloup and go to Guarene, at the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation. EstOvest Festival returns, as every year, to the Polo del Novecento in Turin and will touch, for the first time, the Castello di Foglizzo.

The event will start on Sunday 18th September and will end on Monday 31st October. EstOvest Festival 2022-XXI edition is intended in three Episodes naming respectively Prelude, the first, En plein air, the second, and Contemporary Cello Week, the third.
