Fête Magique 2026

in 2026, our beloved Theater aan Twater will celebrate its twentieth anniversary, which means that on May 9 and 10, 2026, we will bring even more than ever a 'party' to our festival.We even already have a name for it: Theater aan Twater presents 'Fête Magique.

'Fête Magique is a name that, in our opinion, better summarizes what visitors can expect today: a magical celebration, for young and old alike.

Ten years ago, Michiel Beers from Tomorrowland already advised us to choose a new name.Although the name is changing, our mission remains fully intact.

Fête Magique wants to stay an accessible festival that brings together generations, cultures, and audiences. The strong international and national programming remains the heart of the event, though there is a novelty: from now on, each year we will focus on a different element of nature, and this year we start with 'air.' That way, you will also know that the main acts are completely new each year.

Some major international acts are already confirmed. The daredevils of Geschwister Weisheit will perform a stunt at 40 meters high, Les Chaussons Rouges will present a quadruple rope act, and the French group Les P’tits Bras will come with their aerial acrobatics show Vent D’Ouest. On Sunday, it will be the turn of the world-famous Swiss hip-hop clowns Star Bugs. In total, more than fifty acts will be on display.
