The Mediterranean Image Theater will be the theme of the 2021 edition. On Monday 8 November at 10 am the press conference at the Pasqualino Museum.

A story with several voices, a game of plots and warps that becomes the narrative fabric of a community. The boundaries? They do not exist. Instead, there is the Mediterranean, the great sea that welcomes, with all its landscapes and faces, its thousand characters and storytellers. And the infinite variations of image theater. Animated by puppets and marionettes, of course, but also by other fantastic creatures (women and men included) yet tenaciously attached to the world, to its dreams, to its dramas.

It is a narration of bodies, words, instruments, voices and experiments on the "Theater of the Mediterranean", the 46th edition of the Morgana Festival, which this year is finally back in attendance.
The festival will be presented in a press conference on Monday 8 November at 10 am at the Antonio Pasqualino Puppet Museum (piazzetta Antonio Pasqualino, 5).

Participants will be the mayor of Palermo, Leoluca Orlando, the councilor for Cultures of the Municipality of Palermo, Mario Zito, the regional councilor for cultural heritage, Alberto Samonà; the regional councilor for tourism, Manlio Messina and the director of the Pasqualino Museum, Rosario Perricone.

During the press conference the very intense program will be announced which, from 11 to 21 November, will bring shows, performances, seminars, conferences, workshops in some of the most representative and evocative places in Palermo: the Antonio Pasqualino International Puppet Museum, the Church of San Mattia Apostolo dei Crociferi, the church of SS. Euno and Giuliano, the Agramante Theater and the Charlemagne Theater.
"Mediterranean Image Theater" is the first step of a historic festival like that of Morgana, yet always capable of renewing itself - as this first new edition in attendance demonstrates - through theater, storytelling and participation. The most ancient and at the same time revolutionary forms of knowledge to imagine the societies to come.
