Giffoni Macedonia Youth Film Festival

The Giffoni Macedonia Youth Film Festival started in 2013 as an initiative of Claudio Gubitosi, artistic director and creator of Giffoni Film Festival. The lack of young audience in cinema theaters in Macedonia was the essential motivation to set up this youth festival. The festival became much more important for young people than anyone expected at the beginning.

The festival is a real experience for young people with back to back screenings, debates, workshops, concerts, panels and the whole city is involved.

Giffoni Macedonia Youth Film Festival has become an essential hub in the Balkans in the past years and after its huge success, works are in progress for the next edition in October 2022.

The traveling part of the festival called GIFFONI ON TOUR is a mini version of the festival that aims to bring the joy of the cinema to young people in other cities.
