ODMEVI / echi 2025

The ODMEVI / echi musical project, born from the meeting between Andrea Rucli, artistic director of the Sergio Gaggia Association of Cividale, and Andrea Del Favero, artistic director of the Folkest festival, is now in its third edition.

This is a fascinating challenge within a musical journey that meanders between classical and popular music, with a view to broadening audiences and their education, as the subtitle summarizes: Cultivating the popular to populate the cultured. From the outset, it has also aimed to revitalize tourism in the Natisone Valleys, especially in view of the "Go! 2025 Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025" event, in which the Slavia Friuliana region must become a symbol of a homogeneous, arbitrarily divided territory. This year, it has expanded to include two additional municipalities in the Mountain Community, Faedis and Magnano in Riviera, with a high-profile performance in the Resia Valley in September. Beyond its symbolic significance, potential cross-border benefits, and tourism benefits, the project also offers—in its purely musical aspect—a stimulating, programmatic exchange between the popular and the cultured world, a novel approach only occasionally explored by festivals and concert seasons.
