Ogni Altro Suono | contemporary music festival

In 2025, Ogni Altro Suono sets out to explore the points of synergy between the rural world and research in the field of sound. The area of Grecìa Salentina preserves within its territory traces of an ancient rural tradition, expressed in numerous examples of spontaneous architecture, in gestures, rituals, and distinctive words, in prayers and in its musical heritage. A few but resilient rural communities still persist in passing down practices of inclusion and experimentation with new models.We will invite national and international artists, active in different fields, to engage with these marginal and peripheral areas in order to delve into their history, their physical and natural features, and their sonic qualities. Sound, as a primordial and material element, will serve as the medium for experiencing these realities—guardians of an archaic culture—and for experimenting with new relationships that may inspire a renewed culture of the land.
