STROOM 26

18 Jun 2026 - 05 Jul 2026
From Ghent to Antwerp along the river, Belgium

STROOM is a unique festival set in the Scheldt Valley National Park between Ghent and Antwerp. The festival meanders like the river through picturesque villages, splendid castles, industrial heritage, and stunning natural landscapes. Concerts both big and small are interspersed with discussions and walks. Our climate-neutral boat, De Vrijbuiter, docks at a different location each time during the festival for a free-to-attend Riverside Concert. The timing is determined by the tides. We cannot be more connected to the river! Sustainability is at the heart of our mission. In every aspect of the festival, we consider the impact on nature and the climate, striving - together with all artists and partners - to minimise any negative effects. In 2024, we were honoured to receive the Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship from VOKA, and in 2025, we were appointed as Sustainability Ambassador for the festival scene in Flanders. The breathtaking Scheldt Valley is the ideal habitat for a festival that connects culture and climate, heritage and sustainability in an organic way. Our unique contribution to this is the voice of the artists. Alongside all the scientific knowledge, we also need their imagination on the path to a new world. Together with all partners, artists, and (of course!) the audience, we celebrate the beauty of our planet and commit ourselves to its preservation. Be welcome!
